Our Marble Restoration Process
Marble brings timeless elegance to floors, countertops, fireplaces, and bathrooms — but it is also a calcite-based stone that etches easily when it comes into contact with lemon juice, wine, vinegar, or many everyday cleaning products. Etching shows up as cloudy, dull spots rather than dark stains, and it can happen even with careful use.
Our marble restoration process uses diamond abrasive pads in progressively finer grits to remove etch marks, scratches, and general wear from the surface, followed by polishing to restore the marble’s natural shine and clarity. We finish with a penetrating sealer to help protect the stone from future staining and etching.
